Creative References

Maggie Mondey is a distinct pleasure to work with. Not only does she possess strong graphic and illustration skills, but her keen eye on text is most appreciated. She is sensitive to deadlines, quick to respond and a true professional. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to count on her talent.

Maggie has worked on a number of projects for us and her uncanny ability to capture the essence of a project with illustration is truly stellar!

Digital Illustration

This was one of three prototype designs created for an annual event - it wasn't the final selection but I like the idea so I kept it!

Photography

I took this photograph of my daughter for Woods Homes' annual appeal for foster parents because all the commercial images I found looked posed. Megan practiced for days looking like a homeless child and I think she succeeded! The caption I wrote for the pamphlet was: 'You know what home means to you ...Imagine what it could mean to her.'

Vector Drawing (Image Cleanups)

Older designs that have been saved in multiple formats often become pixelated and shadowy around the edges. That was the case with this beautiful icon. I duplicated the image in Illustrator so that it could be displayed on an 8' banner. The new vector image matches the original almost exactly, and its lines remain crisp and clear at any size.

Graphic Design

This invitation, needed on short notice, makes use of stock photography and a catch-phrase to touch the heart (Woods Homes provides care and treatment for children with mental health issues).

Illustration

This illustration was the front of a thank you card I created for participants in a fundraising golf tournament. The inside of the card read, ' ... to make a world of difference.'

Promotional Images

This playful, informative design created by a program participant was given to me as a pencil drawing, and I used Adobe Illustrator to prepare it for printing.
